Peggy Sue (Simmons) Campbell

Peggy Sue Campbell, age 71, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at her residence.  

Per her wishes, her body was cremated. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Ensminger officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.  

Peggy was born on August 29, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas to Alfred and Ollie Maud (Clark) Simmons.  She graduated from Rotan High School in l968.  She married John Campbell, Jr. on March 28, 1975 in Sweetwater, Texas.  She was a homemaker and a member of Fourth & Elm Church of Christ.  

She is survived by her husband, John Campbell, Jr. of Sweetwater, Texas, two sons, Jason Campbell of San Angelo, Texas, and Casey Campbell of Abilene, Texas, mother, Ollie Maud Woolf of Sweetwater, Texas and other extended family.  

She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Simmons, step-father, Preston Woolf, and her in-laws, John & Edna Campbell.
