Rhonda Kay (Lewis) Ashley

Rhonda Kay Ashley, age 65, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, march 10, 2021 at her residence.  

Per her wishes, her body will be cremated.  No services are planned at this time.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Rhonda was born on June l4, 1955 in Conroe, Texas to Horace Lewis, Sr. and Gloria Ann (Norris) Lewis.   She married Clifford Ashley on December 16, 1972 in Huntsville, Texas.  She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.  Rhonda worked for Merkel Nursing Home as a nurse.  She also worked at Sweetwater Healthcare Center and was a traveling nurse.  Her family was the joy of her life.  

She is survived by her husband, Clifford Ashley of Sweetwater, Texas, son, Leonard Ashley and wife Laura of Norfolk, Virginia, daughter, Leigh Ann Ashley of Sweetwater, Texas, son, J.R. Ashley and wife Dana of Sweetwater, Texas, grandchildren, Clifford Ashley, Anthony Ashley, Bret Ashley, Mason Ashley, Jake Bronson Ashley, Gloria "Gigi" Blackburn, Ariel Ashley, Brandon Ashley, and Leonard Ashley, and numerous great grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Gloria Lewis and brother, Horace Lewis, Jr.
