Sharon Kaye (Shifflett) Hardin

Sharon Kaye Hardin, age 67, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene, Texas.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeramy Thompson and Rev. Lester Cavitt officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Sharon was born on October 15, 1953 in Killeen, Texas to Billy Joe and Shirley Janelle (Poore) Shifflett. She married Arland Douglas Hardin on July 25, 1975 in Sweetwater, Texas. Sharon worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse for Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital for many years before retiring. She was a member of First Apostolic Tabernacle.

She is survived by her husband, Doug Hardin of Sweetwater, Texas, two sons, Robert Hardin and wife Emily of Abilene, Texas, and Joseph Hardin of Sweetwater, Texas, grandchildren, Dharma Hardin, Josiah Hardin, Darren Hardin, Aerith Hardin, and Greyson Guelker, sister, Charlotte Dittbrenner and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, including special niece, Kristie Guelker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Joe and Shirley Shifflett.

Pallbearers will be Clint Appling, Sam Kamer, Mike Sells, Robert Hardin, Joseph Hardin, Josiah Hardin, and Darren Hardin.

Due to the nature of Sharon's death, the family suggests any one attending her funeral service to wear a face mask.  Face masks and hand sanitizer will be available.
