Shirley Ann Porter

Shirley Ann Porter, age 70, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Nolan Nursing and Rehab.

Private Family Graveside services were held at Sweetwater Cemetery, Burial followed. Arrangements were under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Shirley was born on June 14, 1949 in Sweetwater, Texas to Iland N. and Dennis N. (Dodgion) Porter. She was a member of Broadway Baptist Church, where she attended when she was able. Shirley was a totally innocent and sweet soul with a kind heart and was friendly to everyone that she came in contact with. She was a cancer survivor. She was a caregiver to both of her parents until their deaths. She loved her cats. She was a devoted daughter and sister.

She is survived by her brother, Richard Porter and wife Janie of Sweetwater, Texas, numerous cousins and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Iland and Dennis Porter.
