Silvia (Bugarin) Garcia

Silvia Bugarin Garcia, age 54, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas.

A prayer vigil will be held 6:30 P.M., Monday, July 26, 2021 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon David Mendez officiating, followed by a rosary at 7:00 P.M., recited by Deacon David Mendez.

Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish with Father Michael Udegbunam officating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Silvia was born on April 27, 1967 to Santiago and Maria (Hermosillo) Bugarin. She married Ray R. Garcia in Abilene, Texas. She was a graduate of Sweetwater High School. She worked for Living Resources as a home health care worker for many years. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish.

She is survived by her husband, Ray R. Garcia of Sweetwater, Texas, special nephew that she raised, Andrew Ray Martinez, mother, Maria Bugarin of Sweetwater, Texas, brothers, Raul, Pedro, Lucas, and Stevan Bugarin, sisters, Irma Beserra, Yolanda Valligo, Mary Garcia, Yvonne Bugarin, Raquel Bugarin, Veronica Gamez, Beatris Romero, and Christina Mendoza, brothers-in-law, Margarito Olbera, Ramiro Olbera, and David Garcia, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Santiago Bugarin, brothers, Santiago Bugarin, Jr. and Johnny Bugarin.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Romero, Alex Mendoza, Jonathan Mendoza, Ramiro Olbera, Jr., Zach Ramos, and Benny Flores.
