Manuel (Beaver) Aguilar, Jr.

Manuel (Beaver) Aguilar, Jr., age 54 of Colorado City, Texas, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.  

Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish with Father Nilo  Nalugon officiating.  Burial will follow at Loraine Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.  

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from  6:00 - 7:30 PM.  

Manuel was born on September 14, 1961 in Denver, Colorado to Manuel Aguilar, Sr. and Petra (Rocha) Aguilar.  He worked as an electrician for many years.  He was a Catholic and a longtime resident of Colorado City, Texas.  

He is survived by his father, Manuel Aguilar, Sr. of Colorado City, Texas, son, Brett Mills of Wichita, Kansas, two grandchildren, Xander Mills and Brittany Mills, both of Wichita, Kansas, two brothers, Adam Aguilar and Marcos Aguilar, both of Sweetwater, Texas, ten sisters, Sylvia Cook of Wichita Falls, Texas, Martha Heredia of Sweetwater, Texas, Natalia Martinez of Colorado City, Texas, Estela Luna of Abilene, Texas, Crestina Ginkinger of Plainview, Texas, Cindia Salazar of Colorado City, Texas, Laura Aguilar of Colorado City, Texas, Lydia Cadenhead of Big Spring, Texas, Delia Gonzales of Colorado City, Texas, and Elia Lara of Colorado City, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.  

He was preceded in death by his mother, Petra Aguilar.  

Pallbearers will be James Cook, Jr., Steven Cook, Adrian Aguilar, Isaac Aguilar, Justin Jaye Mermella, Christopher Martinez and Brandon Martinez
