To Wayne, Ginny, Nancy, and Laurie's children,
I am so very sorry for your pain at this time of loss. Your family has been in my prayers since I learned of the accident last weekend when I was in Sweetwater with my mother. Laurie and I were friends from church at 4th and Elm and were in Girl Scouts together as well as freshmen at ACU together in the same dorm on the same floor. I have many memories of time spent together playing on Sunday afternoons until evening service, in Girl Scouts, at school, and even at ACU. Laurie and I had not stayed close other than through Facebook in the last couple of years. But even so, I was brought to tears when I heard about the accident because it was way too soon for her life to end. I know her children are missing her more than can be put into words and the will continue to be in my prayers for peace and comfort for a long time, as will the remaining family. Please take comfort in knowing that she is in a beautiful place. It is better to have loved and lost then to have never loved at all. I will be thinking of you all during the time of the service and I am so sorry that I cannot attend to celebrate her life.
