To all of June's Family and friends. I am very sorry to see of June's passing. She used to come across the street to pick up her friend, the late Juanita Dickerson to go ride around town. I lived across the Street(1509 Runnels) and would go over and get her seat cushion, that she had to have to drive her pink and gray 1955 Chevrolet Belaire 4 door sedan. Then when she returned, I would put it back in her front seat. It was 'mostly' fun for the both of us!! And she knew who got it. But we were just enjoying life!! And I read/saw not too long that her Brother had passed away. May GOD be with 'all' of you at this time. may GOD bless June also. ''Thanks for the Memories'!! Thank you Ronny. Mama has mentioned you numerous times thru the years. Thank you for sharing that memory. Mama was a good one to tease, she never got mad. Guess that came from having two brothers. Yes, her "little" brother died in July. He was across the hall from her in the rest home and she saw it as her duty to make sure he was taken care of. I got a lot of calls asking me to "talk to you Mother about this". When I would get out there after work I wouldn't even mention the phone call, I was proud of her for taking "care" of her little brother. She liked the rest home and we are thankful for that and I will always cherish the time we spent together. Thank you again, Brenda Scott

Brenda, Your Mother and I were just teasing each other 'all' of the time!! Having fun, enjoying life!! I got married, moved away looking for work. Had a baby boy. Wound up in Waco. And now I find out your Mother was about 10 years older than myself!! My Daddy, passed away in 1972(at age 54)while still living at 1509 Runnels Street. Mother had to move to Abilene in 1973 to keep her job with J.C.Penney's,(retired with 35 years) and she lived until age 87 and passed away in 2010. So, It's good to hear from you, sorry about the conditions. And I hope you will continue to remember 'all' of the good times you had with your Mother!! GOD bless you and yours!! Ronny

Dearest Brenda, my heartfelt prayers for you during this time of sorrow. I know how much you love your sweet mother. I will always remember her sweet smile, beautiful blue eyes and the laughter we shared many years ago when we were younger. She will be missed. Love you dear friend.
